The beautiful Resort at Uluwatu Cliff Bali designed by Singapore-based architecture firm Woha. The Alila Villas Uluwatu Resort is located on the southern coastline of the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, close to an best area for surfing. The resort has 52 one bedroom villas along with 5 cliff-side three bedroom villas and 25 private villas, each with its own pool and private pavilion perched above the Indian Ocean.

Alila Villas Uluwatu Resort is the first of its kind to achieve the highest level of certification for Environmentally Sustainable Development. Power is currently provided by biodiesel generators from the resort’s organic waste, but the site will eventually use electricity generated from wind farms on the peninsula. The villas use natural ventilation instead of air condition and the pools use saltwater rather than chlorinated water. The natural materials timber, mosaics, stones, used for finishing and non chemical painting.

The modern tropical house with irregular shape and is split into two wings in order to maximize the views and reduce its massing designed by Rockefeller Partners Architects on a generous lot of 10,000 square feet. The architecture, room lighting and interior shape and a lot of glazing almost every room in the house is connected to the outdoors and has access there. At the heart of the home is a great fireplace that begins in the living room then penetrates the exterior wall to become a wedge-shaped landscape feature and finally, the pool wall.

Designed by Rockefeller Partners Architects this house is located off a walk street with great views of the Pacific Ocean and Malibu coastline. Its design is all about a careful space planning. The site is a narrow 30×60-foot area but it includes not only the house but also a garden. The garden is an open green space in the center of the structure at the ground floor level. On one side of this area is a children’s room and a master’s bedroom with a bath. Not only this Zen garden makes the interior to be closer to nature. There are a lot of woodwork that also do so and adds a touch of comfort to the house.

That’s a modern house designed by Pb Elemental Architecture which built with the main principle on how to create a modern house on tight budget. The client is a large family and still growing so the house must have four bedrooms, two bath, living and dining areas, open kitchen, an entry corridor, large storage room, bookshelves for huge book collection, laundry room and closet, all of them must built on 1600 square foot site. The end result is a beautiful house with minimalist exterior and stunning interior design, the building cost just $167/sf and the footprint is only 790 square feet.

When renovating this bungalow, the architect decided to remain the original house construction and he just focused on eliminating something that wasn’t good and adding new element that client needed. The result is a contemporary open plan bungalow, flat roof and could receive huge amount of natural light with a plain interior and paint using funky color combination. Located on the peninsula south of San Francisco was build in 1950s but recently remodeled by Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects. A cool manmade pond that was there before become the thing that add a feeling of being at a vacation retreat to every day life. The site consist of four buildings – the main house, study, pool house and a garage. All of them are focused on the pond, garden and pool. There is also a terrace near the pond that is separated from the interior by glazed sliding doors. The roofs conceal photovoltaic and solar hot water panels. The house is heated with a radiant system in the stone floors, and despite the hot climate it is not air conditioned, but passively cooled with a combination of overhangs, shades, and operable windows. It also features many green building materials, including high fly-ash concrete, formaldehyde-free casework and denim insulation.
