Designed and inspired by Brazil’s Indian architecture which is perfect suited for the hot and humid climate. Leaf house is designed by Mareines and Patalano Arquitetura on a beautiful little beach with amazing blue water in Rio de Janeiro. Roof that reminds a flower acts as a big leaf that protects from the sun all the enclosed spaces of the house. The house is perfect for social gatherings and parties because of its comfortable verandas and open spaces in between rooms. The open layout also takes advantage of trade winds that blow in from the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling. Rain water is harvested from the roof for re-use. With its natural finishes, organic aesthetics and richness of details, the house is in harmony with the exuberant brazilian nature.

This home interior are look so stunning every single room is constructed so that the postcard view of central park is the star and it has a solid walnut bookshelves that has a secret door. The house has a communal living spaces stands in between the master suite and the kids’ rooms, hidden behind the aforementioned trap door in the library, thereby providing a buffer of sight and sound. Personally I like the solid wood furniture of this house especially the bookshelves that could accommodate huge books collection and a large LCD TV. The bathroom ceiling decorated with an artistic graffiti that illustrated tiger and eagle on fight.
